What is Play Tagit?
Tagit is a website that gives away free stuff from physical stores by doing contests.
Use our site or app to find something that will be given away. Visit the store on the listing page & scan the QR code to place tickets into the contest A winner will be randomly chosen once the number of walk-ins (scans) have been reached.
How do I earn tickets?
The easiest way to earn tickets is by scanning codes at local stores. First find an item on the website, then visit the store that is holding the contest (map available on listing). Once you are at the store, find the yellow ticket display in the store and scan the QR code with your tagit app. This earns you 25 tickets which are automatically placed on that contest. You can increase your odds of winning by placing extra tickets before or after you scan the QR code. You can earn these by doing the following:
- 25 tickets - Scan tagit QR code at participating stores
- 20 tickets - Connect your Facebook account (one time only)
- 20 tickets - Connect your Twitter account (one time only)
- 3 tickets - Logging in to website (earn once a day)
What is a walk-in?
A walk-in is used to describe a player walking into the store and scanning the contest QR code.
When do listings end?
A listing ends when the number of walk-ins the store set are reached. A winner will be chosen at random that night.
How do I pick up my item when I win?
Go to the store that is provided on your winning ticket email. Inform a store employee that you’ve won a tagit contest they’ve held and show them your photo ID to confirm your the real winner.
What is the maximum number of tickets I can place on a promotion?
There is no maximum, place as many as you like! The more tickets you place on an item the better your chances of winning.
Can I scan a code at the store before I place tickets on it through the website?
Yes
How much are tickets worth?
One ticket can win anything on our site. No matter what item is being given away, the winner comes down to a single ticket. Tickets are free and do not have a monetary value.
Can I buy tickets?
No, Tickets cannot be purchased.
How many people have to scan the code at the store before you give the item away?
Tagit keeps this number fair for everyone by limiting the number of walk-ins based on the item value being giving away. The number of walk-ins remaining is displayed on every listing. Once this goes to 0, a winner is chosen at random and the item is given away.
Do I have to have the mobile app to play?
You need the mobile app to scan tagit QR codes.
